Honey lemonade

When life gives you lemons make a homemade honey lemonade... The hot days are over, autumn is nearly hear and to celebrate an awesome Summer, with still some pretty warm days peeking through, I decided to make a simple but delicious honey lemonade.

For this recipe you will need:

3/4 a cup of honey
1 1/2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice
2-3 Lemons cut into thin slices
8 cups of water
a couple of loose mint leaves
berries (optional)

Heat 1 cup of water on the stovetop until steaming. Remove from stove and add the honey, stir until the bees essence is dissolved. Afterwards let the mixture chill a bit in the refrigerator.
When the honey-water has cooled down add the rest of the ingredients. If you want to top up your lemonade you can still add some berries or other fruits you might think will work well, I have chosen blackberries because they are just too yummy. Of course you can also plop in some ice cubes for some extra chill.
Hope you will enjoy this lemonade as much as I did, so tasty with the honey.
